Find-fun exists because I have two, occasionally, seriously bored children. Last summer things came to a head and I suggested they make a list of fun things to do instead of simply moaning about being bored. First they had to make a list of things to do that were free because money could be tight and then slowly but surely the idea grew and grew and the list of fun ideas got longer and longer. My eldest daughter Leesah, who was fifteen at the time came up with the design concept. She wanted it to be very easy to use and very clear without too much reading. She also wanted to find ways to get to the activity, hence the bus and train timetables below each listing. My younger daughter Savannah wanted images so she could see at a glance if she liked the idea without having to read the article first.
She also wanted to be able to add things to her favourites And finally I, well I wanted it map based (being designated driver) so at least I'd know where the place was before I got all enthusiatic and packed the picnic only to find it was Cumbria, San Francisco rather than Cumbria UK. (Like I did last winter!) Anyway we hope you enjoy finding fun and find it easy to use. Happy adventures!! The vitality of thought is in adventure. Ideas won't keep. Something must be done about them. - Alfred North Whitehead, 1861-1947 |

She needed to be facebook friendly so with a simply click on the icon she could post the idea to her facebook page so her friends could see what she was doing so they could see if they wanted to join in too.
with just a click. She also spent many many hours researching and finding listings and fun ideas. Many of the listings that you find on Find Fun were sourced by her.
